Chicago Booth School of Business is one of the leading business schools in the world. The Booth School of Business was the foremost American school to provide Ph.D. programs after MBA programs in management and business and Executive MBAs. Seven alumni and faculty from the Booth School of Business have won the Nobel Prize in Economics since 1982. The school was established in 1898, at the time, the Booth School of Business was one of the first business schools to initiate an experiential administration development course and has since been at the forefront of business education in the USA.

Booth Curriculum and Application Requirements

There are 14 specializations in the Booth curriculum, with 3 to 4 courses every quarter. Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD) is included as a required course. The students can create their customized learning experience according to the necessities of potential jobs.

Likewise, learners who pursue the full-time MBA at Booth need an American baccalaureate or equal college degree. Furthermore, three-year undergraduate degrees are not accepted at Booth. Therefore, new learners can be admitted to the full-time course in the autumn quarter exclusively. There are two components in the admission process — an application and an interview round. The applicant’s form must consist of personal and professional information, GRE / GMAT and PTE / IELTS / TOEFL scores, scanned transcripts from their post-secondary institutions, recommendation letters, responses to essay questions, and an application form fee.

Chicago Booth Culture

Booth inspires its learners to concentrate on refining, executing, analyzing, comparing, and generating visions to advance them to better and greater ideas. Furthermore, a full-time MBA has 20 classes, including the LEAD – Leadership Effectiveness and Development program.

Unlike the rest of the top b-schools with MBA courses, Booth does not need its learners to take every class. The flexible curriculum of the schedule is its flagship. One critical element is the LEAD class. In the LEAD class, each MBA student learns in a tailored course designed to meet their career aspirations and goals.

A learner at Booth has a standard of knowledge regarding crucial elements of administration – presentation skills, conflict management, interpersonal communication, influencing others, and working in teams or groups.

Across 100 nations, Booth has nearly 51,000 graduated learners. There are many famous alumni, including Raghuram Rajan – the former Governor, Nobel Laureate (Economics) Eugene Fama, James O. McKinsey – founder of McKinsey, Philip J. Purcell – former Morgan Stanley CEO, financial executive Jon Corzine, former Governor of New Jersey and novelist Sara Paretsky, and many others.

The culture of Chicago Booth creates an international community of people with diverse perspectives and multifarious environments. They are connected by a common purpose of interest and inquisitiveness in the search for more profound wisdom. This entitles the learners to evolve into future industry influencers and leaders.
