Undergraduate Library of Hicks

The enormous underground library has study rooms open every day of the week from eight to twelve in the early morning. The Hicks Institution for Collaboration Studies and Research was created in 1982 as a collaborative education and research center. A computer lab, study break activities meant to ease stress, and three active classrooms are all available to students at Hicks. Prepare to concentrate on your studies in complete serenity.

Top Floor of the Union

Given that the bottom level of the recently updated Purdue Memorial Union now has a food court with 12 unique eating choices, the area may seem rather noisy. There’s a treasure trove of peace on the third level. Relax in a cozy recliner before the fire and get some work done when it’s freezing outside. This place is accessible every day of the week, beginning at 6 a.m. and closing at midnight. Don’t forget that there’s a Starbucks on the first level if you need a coffee boost to go back to studying.

WALC

The Wilmeth Active Learning Center was built in 2017 and is the campus’s central location for classes and study areas. Despite its size, this facility often busts with students throughout the day, making it rather loud sometimes. The hours of operation for WALC are Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to midnight, and Sundays by appointment only. The Engineering and Science Library, the Au Bon Pain bakery and café, and a relatively peaceful reading area may all be found here.
